We’re thrilled to announce that applications are now open for Unit Leader roles for the 26th World Scout Jamboree, taking place in Gdańsk, Poland in 2027!

The World Scout Jamboree (WSJ) is a truly life-changing event, bringing together tens of thousands of Scouts and Guides from across the globe for a festival of friendship, adventure, and international understanding. The next Jamboree promises to be an unforgettable experience – and we’re looking for the right adult volunteers to help lead the West Mercia County Unit on this incredible journey.

Who are we looking for?

We’re seeking enthusiastic, experienced, and dedicated adult volunteers to take on the following roles within the West Mercia Unit:

  • Unit Leader
  • Deputy Unit Leaders
  • Assistant Unit Leaders (up to two)
    • These adult leaders will be responsible for the planning, preparation, and delivery of the Jamboree experience for a contingent of young people aged 14–17. This includes running training camps, fostering a positive and inclusive team environment, and ensuring the entire Unit is prepared for a safe, fun, and inspiring time at the Jamboree.

You’ll be part of a wider UK Contingent Team and will work closely with other Unit Leaders across the region to share best practices and build a strong, supportive network.
