Applications Open: Attend the West Midlands Regional Conference 2026
We’re delighted to invite applications from adult volunteers who would like to represent West Mercia at the West Midlands Regional Conference.

- Date: Saturday 26 September 2026
- Location: Solihull (full venue details will follow)
- Time: All day (to be confirmed)
- Catering: Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
About the Conference
The West Midlands Regional Conference will bring together volunteers from across the region to explore the future of Scouts and how our new strategy can be brought to life in local communities.
The day will include:
- Inspiring keynote sessions from national guest speakers.
- Interactive workshops.
- Opportunities to share ideas and learn from volunteers across the West Midlands.
- Networking with volunteers from a wide range of counties and roles.
West Mercia is looking to send a contingent of around 10 volunteers who Scout within our County.
We’re particularly looking for volunteers from the following roles:
- District Lead Volunteers (DLVs)
- Trustees (Group & District)
- 18–25 Section Team Members
- District Team Leads (Volunteer Development Team and Programme)
- Group Lead Volunteers (GLVs)
- Youth Leads
- Section Team Members and Section Team Leaders
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers who are keen to learn, share ideas and help shape the future of Scouting across West Mercia.
Following the conference, we’d like members of our contingent to play an active role in planning and delivering our next County GLV Day, planned for early 2027, by sharing the ideas, learning and inspiration gained from the conference.
