Gear up for an adventure that’ll take you off the beaten track and into the untouched wilderness of Iceland!
We are looking for 32 young people from across West Mercia to take on an adventure to Iceland during August 2021.
Over the week we’ll be learning to paddle and going out to see waterfalls, geysers and hot springs. Going on a great hike into the mountains including the chance to bathe in a natural hot river. We’ll also be going Whale Watching and will get the chance to see dolphins too. In addition, we’ll spend time in Reykjavik and going on a Glacier Exploration!
The cost of the trip will be no more than £1650 which should mostly be achieved by fundraising efforts with support from the unit.
Selection for 32 young people will occur on Saturday 11th January and applications for this close on Tuesday 31st December at 23:59. Apply through the link below if your date of birth is between 06/08/2003 and 07/02/2008 (inclusive).
We will be holding an information evening at County HQ on Thursday 5th December and the first meeting of all unit members will be on 29th February 2020.
