As we get closer to the festive period, I just wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas. During 2018 in West Mercia some amazing things have taken place, with many things happening at Group, District and County level, all of which give every young person a fantastic opportunity to grow, develop and gain those all important skills for life.
Thank you for supporting Scouting in whatever role you play. I meet many adult volunteers during the year and I have to say everyone's commitment and dedication is outstanding and you should be rightly proud of what you achieve every week. Everyone is key to the success of Scouting and as one big team we can make a massive difference to all the young people right across the County.
I also get to meet many young people as well and experience what they get up to in their sections, on camps or at activity days. Seeing the smiles on their faces after they have taken part in the fantastic opportunities which are available to them gives me a real sense of pride and I’m sure it does the same for you too.
I hope you all enjoy the Christmas festivities and I look forward to seeing everyone’s achievements in 2019.
