Virtual Module 10A Online Option 2 (20/10/2024)

First Response module 10A is made up of three elements, Life Support, Trauma and Injury plus Major Illness, all three theory sessions MUST be completed before the final practical validation module 10B can be attended.

This Option 2 will be delivered virtually using Microsoft Teams and may last up to six hours.

Life Support:

  • Principles of first aid and initial response (arriving and managing an incident)
  • Initial response to a first aid situation
  • Management of an unconscious casualty (child or adult)
  • CPR, including technique for children and an explanation of what AED is and how to use it.

Trauma and Injury

  • Choking
  • Shock
  • Bleeding
  • Fractures (ambulance imminent and non-imminent) and sprains
  • Head injuries
  • Dental incidents
  • Burns

 Major Illness

  • Asthma
  • Anaphylaxis
  • Heart Attack
  • Stroke
  • Seizures
  • Diabetes
  • Sepsis / Meningitis

Please note: This training requires full participation therefore please ensure your device is set for audio and visual capabilities as cameras must remain on throughout the session.
