Scouts First Response – Life Support Module 10A Face to face (Option 2 – 10/12)

Life Support is one of the three First Response theory sessions making up module 10A.

All three theory sessions MUST be completed before the final practical validation module 10B can be attended.

This theory session will be delivered Face to Face and may last up to two hours.

The session is an introduction to the theory and practical sides of life support topics of first aid.

• Life Support:
  • Principles of first aid and initial response (arriving and managing an incident)
  • Initial response to a first aid situation
  • Management of an unconscious casualty (child or adult)
  • CPR, including technique for children and an explanation of what AED is and how to use it.
